  • New Jeans Or BLACKPINK!? | Jennie ended this question!

Each country has different rules and ways to show respect, and BLACKPINK’s Jennie has gained praise for her behavior when visiting a place of worship in Saudi Arabia while on their world tour! K-pop idols have many fans from all countries and nations around the world, so they recently have been traveling a lot to see their fans as it is difficult for many of their fans to go to Korea. Today's topic is about BLACKPINK members who have traveled to many countries during their recent "Born Pink" world tour! BLACKPINK recently held their concert in Saudi Arabia on January 20th, 2023, it's their first time performing in an Arab country. For the first time, the Saudi Arabia government specially decorated its towers and areas with pink for BLACKPINK in preparation for the BLACKPINK concert! It is how the city of Riyadh welcomes BLACKPINK. Fans were concerned about what BLACKPINK would wear as Saudi Arabia is a very conservative country and the group's usual concert outfits are quite revealing. A lot of fans loved the fact that BLACKPINK changed some of their outfits to suit Riyadh culture and fans praised them for it! Blackpink in Riyadh by a Twitter user @UK_BLINKS On the other hand, some fans compared BLACKPINK to the new K-pop girl group NewJeans as the band was more modest and showed more respect than BLACKPINK. This made them question "Which of them was the best in Saudi Arabia?" But in the end, both groups deserved to be labeled as "the best" since they were respectable to the culture and adjusted their clothing to suit it! After BLACKPINK performed in Saudi Arabia, Jennie posted a picture of herself wearing a hijab on Instagram saying: " Exploring while touring 🌏 " After that Jennie posted that post, she has continually gone viral for her stunning outfits. She was especially receiving praise for the changes she implemented during the Riyadh concert, and her respect for the mosque by wearing hijab in it. She was also so remarkable while performing with her acting, her cuteness, and or course, her outfit! Is your favorite K-pop idol respective to local cultures? • TikTok is ready to invest $143 billion in Korean culture and entertainment!

Social media giant TikTok has announced that it forecasts spending on Korean culture to hit US $143 billion by 2030 . Follow Dojeon team member, Lewis , as he explains through his experience, why K-culture success is expected to double by 2030! Like many of you, I have been using TikTok in recent years, whether to simply scroll through content, or upload my own, and throughout the past year of using it, I have seen countless global trends from dance, to singing to even acting, and with TikTok's success globally it has recently announced that due to global spending on Korean cultural products, it is forecast to nearly double to US$143 billion by 2030, according to new research released by TikTok and analytics company Kantar. The soaring popularity of so-called K-content has been amplified by social platforms, where users have voiced their appreciation of Korean drama, pop music , cuisine, and cosmetics . TikTok, which initially rocketed in popularity with short clips of young people dancing to popular songs, has become a gathering place for K-pop fans online. In recent times, that has expanded to include more of Korean culture and traditions. For me, I have tried to endorse Korean culture in my content, and I often search destinations online and on Social Media before travelling to them to try and find out what it might be like. I believe that this increase in investment will allow more creators to become successful, and it will also help to include the less touristy areas of Korea to attract more visitors domestically and internationally, which can help their tourism industry. However, we have seen before where social media stars focus their content on smaller towns throughout the world where it can see an increase in tourists, but are they ready to accommodate them? Although the Korean Government has also announced that it plans to focus on attracting more foreign workers and tourists in 2024 will it be able to sustain the influx of people coming in the future? Let us know your thoughts on this topic in the comments below and don't forget to subscribe to Dojeon Media's TikTok Channel! #TikTok #hallyu #koreanculture #kentertainment
