So if you did not already know, "XG" stands for "Xtraordinary girls", and this J-pop band is based in South Korea. A bold move to bring J-pop and K-pop together? Well, it seems to have worked!

This trailer is about glamour, power, and stage presence, and we have to say that we thought it was all executed well. Of course, there is a lot of pressure on XG as this all-rap song "WOKE UP" will be the K-pop band's first all-rap song, and we think 2024 is the perfect time for this. Not only, does this allow the song to stand out in an already oversaturated market, but it also makes it more memorable! It could perhaps bring a new following to the group.
The distinctive rap performances of each member exude a powerful hip-hop identity, promising an encounter with the indefinable "Xtraordinary Girls."
We know it has already been done before with Western groups, but the lyrics "WOKE UP LOOKING LIKE THIS" that the girls have used are just playful and fun and we hope that they break the standards and stereotypes of the K-pop industry.
