Want to see a spectacular summer sunset in Seoul? Head to Banpo Bridge! Here's why!

For decades Banpo Bridge in the heart of Seoul has been a popular place to watch the sunset down on the Han River, and here is why you should make it a must-do when you visit Seoul!

Banpo Bridge is a very famous K-drama location!

Recently, I visited Banpo Park with my family when they were visiting and I have to say I was taken away by the amount of people there, as well as the sunset and photo opportunities! Whenever I get time in Seoul this park is a must-go on my list of things to do, and it should be for you too!

Not only is the park located right in central Seoul, but it has over time become a popular park for tourists and locals alike. There are plenty of parks along the Han River where you can watch the spectacular sunset, however, this Han River park offers something very unique, which of course is the nightly Rainbow fountain. Once the sun set's the water fall flows over the side of the bridge and with the spot lights it creates a sensational rainbow effect which of course is perfect for the memory bank and photo album!

Plenty of people head down to the park for a picnic, and you can also purchase food and drink at the continence store, and sometimes locals come around selling pizza and chicken depending on what you want!

Occasionally you will see street performances and buskers which make the evening even more special and memorable (at least for me). I will say that if you do want to get a decent view then it's advisable to arrive at the park early in order to find a space to sit down as it does get very busy, even more so on the weekend.

It truly is a special moment when the lights come on and the music beats faster and louder as it takes you to another place and makes you forget about everything that is going on and have and feel a sense of enjoyment!

Also, along the river and park, there are a couple of restaurants and you can also take some boat tours. If you are brave enough, then you can go on a jet ski, though you will get very wet as it does go under the bridge even when the fountains are on!

From time to time special events are held at the park as well such as silent discos, markets, and food stalls, so there is always plenty to see and do, in this unordinary park right in the center of the mega city of Seoul.
