The new fall drama Weak Hero Class 1 based on the webtoon "Yakhanyoungwoong" (약한영웅) is set to premiere on November 18 at 11 pm KST. The high school drama about school bullying stars ex-Produce 101 and Wanna One's Park Ji Hoon. We can't wait to preview this K-drama for you!
Released at the 2022 Busan International Film Festival, Weak Hero Class 1 received promising praise as many toted it as Park Ji Hoon's best role. The mixture of youth issues and cartoonish stories creates a sense of immersion into the characters' lives.
Weak Hero Class 1 tells the story of Yeon Shi Eun (Park Ji Hoon), a model student that ranks at the top of his class. He is physically weak but uses his smarts and wit to fight the violence inside and outside of his school.
The 8-episode series also stars Choi Hyun Wook (Twenty Five Twenty One 2022) as An Soo Ho and Hong Kyung (D.P. 2021) as outsiders that Shi Eun befriends. The transformation of Shi Eun from a model student to a fighter is quite intriguing.
