What accusation has resurfaced?

Allegations of blacklisting are once again shaking the Korean entertainment scene. A former SM Entertainment artist claims he was blocked from appearing on KBS's music show, sparking renewed concern. This accusation reignites longstanding suspicions that SM Entertainment may hinder the television appearances of artists who depart from the company. The incident raises questions about the industry's ethical practices and the power dynamics between agencies and their former talents.

Which artist is in question?

Imagine the buzz: Xiumin, EXO's shining star, ready to drop his solo album Interview X under a fresh label, INB100! But hold up, a major twist: KBS, the national broadcaster, reportedly slammed the door on his promotional dreams. Why? Allegedly, they're enforcing a policy barring him from shows featuring SM Entertainment artists, hitting Music Bank hard. So, is this a mere coincidence, or is Xiumin caught in a tangled web of industry politics, just as his solo career takes flight? This unexpected hurdle has fans reeling, wondering if his highly anticipated comeback will be silenced.

Which broadcasting networks are involved?

It's not just KBS; whispers say MBC, SBS, and Mnet are also shutting Xiumin out right when his solo promotions should be hitting peak momentum. Imagine Xiumin, with his massive fanbase, vanishing from the very shows that could launch his comeback – something's definitely off. But here's the kicker: while Xiumin's barred, SM Entertainment's fresh-faced girl group, Hearts2Hearts, is reportedly set to shine on those same stages, fueling a firestorm of suspicion. Is this a coincidence, or is something more sinister at play?

The Contract Dispute

Xiumin, along with fellow EXO members Chen and Baekhyun, challenged their contracts with SM Entertainment, citing unfair terms and a lack of financial transparency.

Three EXO titans, Xiumin, Chen, and Baekhyun, dropped a bombshell, saying their SM contracts were a mess. They weren't just whispering complaints; they declared their contracts null and void, a move that rocked the K-pop world. Baekhyun, the mastermind, launched INB100, a new haven for their solo adventures, while Xiumin and Chen jumped aboard. SM, naturally, wasn't thrilled. They accused shadowy "external forces" of poaching their stars, adding a layer of mystery. They tried to find peace, agreeing SM would manage EXO as a group, but solo work would be INB100's domain.

But then, things exploded. A press conference, accusations of unfair payments, and a demand for a hefty cut of their hard-earned cash. SM fired back, accusing them of wanting all the fame without any of the obligations. Now, a lawsuit hangs in the air, a dramatic showdown that leaves fans wondering: who's telling the truth, and what will become of EXO's future?
