BLACKPINK Lisa's "ROCKSTAR" comeback has sparked global excitement for the start of the superstar's solo career! We at Dojeon Media were also intrigued to as how she was able to break away from the BLACKPINK brand and "make a name" for herself. Our team team member, Lewis, was very excited to hear that she was coming back to the industry after a break, and here is his opinion about it.
When I heard that Lisa was going to be riding solo in her music video and releasing her own single after spending many years in BLACKPINK, I was ecstatic and beaming with anticipation! I think that the success of being part of a global group and having gained a global fan base will help her succeed on her own.
I mean she has already made millions and networked within the saturated industry. For me, Lisa is one of my favorite members of BLACKPINK. I really like her style and vibe, so I am hoping that with the changes she has made with her solo career, it will help her succeed even more, as it is very hard to gain recognition for her skills.

Lyrically I like the upbeat tempo and lyrics that although at times had no relation to me, made me feel connected and wanting to listen to more of the song. The concept of styling is bold and allowed me to see a different side of the star from what I had seen when she was with BLACKPINK and it made me feel that she had grown up, a more feminine and sexy side to her.
The music video for me was visually stunning, and since the video was shot in some of the markets in Bangkok, Thailand it also holds a special place for me, as I have visited Thailand many times, and I love the bustle of the city. The bad girl attitude that Lisa portrays in the video, in my opinion, suits the back streets of Bangkok, and I think that it was a smart move to include her Thai routes in the video.
I really love Lisa, and I think that this music video will gain her lots of followers and success within the music industry, with her long-standing experience with the mega group BLACKPINK. I wish her all the best in the future!
