Koreans actually celebrate Valentine's Day differently to other places in the world. In fact, Valentine's Day is one of twelve "love days", celebrated on the 14th of every month in Korea. You may have heard of the more popular White Day, or the more slightly depressing Black Day. On all of the special love day's that Korea does have, it is a time to spend big money as well as going all out on commercial attention, and showing off to others that you care about that special person.

Well women tend to give gifts, the same as men and many women feel encouraged to make chocolate by themselves, or if it is not possible, then purchasing some fancy chocolate from a high end chocolate shop is also very common.
While Valentine’s Day is unique and fun, it can also be quite nerve-wracking for women. Not only will she have to take the first step and be the one to confess her love.

In Korea, when you have found and committed to a serious relationship, it is customary to get matching rings to take things to the next level.
Couple rings usually cost less than a wedding ring, and the price range is very broad with the ring costing anywhere from 30,000 KRW (USD 20.00) to as high as 500,000 KRW (USD 340.00) or more depending on your budget!
