Yeonwoo, formerly of the popular K-pop group MOMOLAND, has captivated audiences with her transition into acting. Starring in the historical K-drama The Tale of Lady Ok, Yeonwoo takes on the role of Cha Mi Ryeong.


A character who starts as an admirer of the lead but may harbor a darker agenda. Fans are speculating whether Cha Mi Ryeong is set to become the show’s villain!




The Tale of Lady Ok follows Ok Tae Young (Lim Ji Yeon), a legal expert hiding a secret identity during the Joseon era. Yeonwoo's character, Cha Mi Ryeong, appears to have a layered relationship with the protagonist.


Though initially introduced as a mentee, her growing complexity has led viewers to question her true intentions. Could this be Yeonwoo's breakthrough as a cunning antagonist?

This role is a significant step in Yeonwoo's journey from idol to actress. After leaving MOMOLAND in 2019 to pursue acting, she has taken on diverse roles, proving her versatility and dedication. Meanwhile, MOMOLAND disbanded in early 2023, allowing its members to pursue individual paths. Yeonwoo's success highlights the potential of this decision, though fans continue to miss the group's dynamic performances.


Other members like JooE and Hyebin are also exploring solo opportunities, keeping the group's legacy alive in different ways.

The drama premiered on November 30, 2024, and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 (KST). It is also available to stream on Kocowa and Netflix in selected regions. For local fans, the drama will be available on the JTBC drama television channel.


So far, four episodes have been released, with the fifth episode scheduled for December 21, 2024.
