The most awkward hilarious K-drama out now Crash Course in Romance ended with a not-so-fairytale ending that we love! The tvN 16-episode sensation became one of the highest rated Korean television dramas of all time! The Sunday, March 5 finale reached a peak with the highest viewership rating of 17.038% (good for first) throughout its run! Let's break down this memorable finale!
**Spoiler Alert!
Episode 16 proved to be the best and most emotional episode throughout the series as it starts off with Nam Hae Yi (Roh Yoon Seo) confronts Nam Haeng Seon (Jeon Do Yeon) about moving to Japan with her birth mother. This sets the house off with weird vibes as Hae Yi's uncle, Nam Jae Woo (Oh Eui Shik) shows his anger by not talking to her the day of her CSAT (college entrance exams).
While Hae Yi is taking her exams, her birth mother is driven by embarrassment and guilt as she sees what she has done to her sister's household. She decides to return to Japan alone and let's Hae Yi know via text that she can visit whenever she wants.
Nam Haeng Seon reads the letter that her sister has left and feel good vibes have returned! The house has returned back to normal as the crew await for Hae Yi's results! Of course our girl Hae Yi aces the exam with flying colors and we can't help but be emotional as Hae Yi runs into Haeung Seon's awaiting arms at the school gate after the gruelling day of exams!
Meanwhile, Choi Chi Yeol (Jung Kyung Ho) is caught up once again in a short little scandal as his blind date with a beautiful pianist shows up at a cafe and starts to talk with him. This stirs up the tiger moms as they take to social media with photos and videos of the two. Haeng Seon finds out and confronts Chi Yeol. Chi Yeol also knows that he has to make this situation go away so he does it in his own awkward fashion by dragging his new assistant with him to buy an engagement ring with him! Needless to say, when our two star-crossed lovers meet again, Haeng Seon is the first one to propose to Chi Yeol! Check out this hilarious scene!
The two have two of each engagement rings and decide to get married after Haeng Seon has passed her exam in order to become a coach. After two years of failing the exam, the scene where Chi Yeol is teaching his class, but everyone knows he's waiting for Haeng Seon's test results can't come at a better time!
As for Hae Yi and the rest of her classmates, most of them enter the university and there seems to be something going on between her and Lee Seon Jae (Lee Chae Min)! The start of a new romance maybe? You be the judge!
