The Meaning Of Jimin's Tattoos in "Set Me Free Pt. 2" Offical M/V Debut!

The much anticipated single from Jimin's new solo single "Set Me Free Pt. 2" just released on Friday, March 17 at 1 PM KST! The powerful beats and dance moves really make Jimin feel like he is taking charge of his destiny as he and his dancers perform on a dark set! Throughout the song, we finally see Jimin take off his shirt and there seems to be lettering tattooed all over his torso which has BTS fans wondering what it really means. Let's break it down!

As Jimin keeps on repeating "Just set me free!" throughout the song, his jacket raises up and reveals words tattooed across his whole torso! We can't help but wonder the meaning behind it!

The words inscribed into the singer's body are from a German poem called "Ich lebe mein Leben in wachsenden Ringen” by Rainer Maria Rilke. This translates to “I live my life in ever-widening circles” in English.

Here's what Jimin's tattoos say in "Set Me Free Pt. 2":

“I live my life in ever-widening circles that stretch themselves out over all the things. I won’t, perhaps, complete the last one, but I intend on trying. I circle around God, around the ancient tower, and I circle for thousands of years; and I don’t know, yet: am I a falcon, a storm, or a mighty song.”

BTS fans know that Jimin has a knack for hidden meaning and messages in his body art as the crescent moon along his back and up to his neck represents the moon phase when BTS debuted back on June 13, 2013.

So what do you think of Jimin's new song? Let us know in the comments!
