Jisoo of Blackpink stole the show as she put a romantic spin on monochrome dress at Dior's Spring/Summer25 show in Paris last Tuesday. We break down her look and more!
Jisoo and Dior
Jisoo has been affiliated with the French house since 2019, when she was named an ambassador for Dior Beauty. By 2021, she was upgraded to global ambassador for Dior’s clothing and beauty lines.
Last fall, Jisoo fronted a Lady Dior campaign, posing with new versions of the top-handle purse that was named for Princess Diana. In addition, leading artists have lent their aesthetics to the Lady Dior, customizing the handbags as part of Dior’s as Seen By and Lady Art projects.
So why are brands choosing to endorse K-pop idols?
With the global expansion of K-pop, various luxury brands have recruited K-idols in order to help draw in audiences and potential customers. This is also the same for fashion shows, and the drive to engage customers through digital advertisements.
Jisoo, being a member of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, stunned critics as at the Dior fall 2024 show last spring and as a result of her presence, she brought in 20 percent of the brand’s overall media impact value, according to data research and insights company Launchmetrics!
How did Jisoo stun the crowds?
The singer looked flawless in a white corset top featuring zipper details, adding on a puff-sleeve shirt and a tiered tulle miniskirt lined with floral lace. A pair of lace-up combat boots and a miniature Lady Dior handbag, which also adorned with florals, which completed her look. Take a look at some of the snap shot images that were taken!
Cashing in
Jisoo’s Blackpink bandmates have also cashed in on the luxury sector’s K-pop obsession, with Jennie being named a global ambassador for Chanel in 2019. Rosé scored the same position at Saint Laurent in 2020, the label’s first in fifty nine years.
