Squid Game's Lee Jung Jae Wins Outstanding Lead Actor At Emmys


The global smash hit Netflix series Squid Game is still racking up the awards a year after its finale! Lead actor Lee Jung Jae won outstanding actor in a drama series and director Hwang Dong Hyuk took the top director award for the same genre.

The actor thanked God, Netflix, and his director for making a realistic problem come to life in the dystopian series which became Netflix's biggest show. Squid Game garnered much international attention after becoming Netflix's most-watched series, becoming the top-viewed program in 94 countries and attracting more than 142 million member households during its first four weeks from its debut.



Lee Jung Jae was also accompanied by several of the main cast members of Squid Game on the red carpet entering the awards show.

The series is scheduled to be renewed for a second season and is scheduled to be released by late 2023 or early 2024. Netflix is currently developing a reality competition program based on 456 contestants competing for $4.56 million in the UK! Find out more details about this in our article!
