Based on the webtoon Akyeon from Choi Hee Sun Karma tells the story of six individuals who are entangled in ill-fated relationships. With each story arc as compelling as the one before, Karma is definitely one drama you don't want to miss! Here's 5 why we're watching!

  1. Shin Min Ah doesn't play nice

For once, Shin Min Ah isn't the lead for the female lead who falls in love with the handsome male lead. It's the total opposite, and we dig it! Her character, Lee Ju Yeon, gets traumatized during her young adult years which has caused her to lose sleep every night, even until adulthood. Now, a doctor, Lee Ju Yeon gets the opportunity to exact revenge on the very man who traumatized her!

  1. Park Hae Soo is evil in every sense of the word

Brilliant acting by veteran actor Park Hae Soo will get your blood boiling in Karma! After finding out that he was the real culprit behind the gang rape case in 2005 to Lee Ju Yeon (Shin Min Ah), it feels good to know that he gets what he deserved in the end, hence the title.

  1. Lee Kwang Soo is brilliant at playing the victim and perpetrator

Gag man Lee Kwang Soo, known for his hilarious antics in the reality series Running Man, really shows his versatility in his role as Han Sang Hun, running a successful private medical practice in Gangnam. Caught in between a scam and feelings for his girlfriend, Lee Yu Jeong (Gong Seung Yeon The First Responders 2 2023), we can feel both his emotions and frustration when faced with dire circumstances.

  1. Plot-twisting connections between characters

Each episode/story arc introduces new relationships and connections that tie the characters together. Brilliantly shown and still easy to follow, Karma is one of those dramas that do repeat a little (to remind viewers of the previous character interactions) from each episode. We love how each character is connected and ultimately leads to the main villain, Park Hae Soo.

  1. The ending will shake you to the core!

Satisfying, yet horrifying at the same time, like they say "karma is a bitch". This is exactly what happens! The story comes full circle when Lee Ju Yeon's closest friend and colleague, Yoon Jeong Min (Kim Nam Gil The Fiery Priest 2 2024), "helps her out".

Final thoughts

The characters in this drama are not what they seem and we love it! The twists and turns along with the amazing connections and storytelling make Karma a must-watch for all crime/thriller lovers!
