and the New Year's tradition of ringing in some of the most iconic landmark bells will be a memory to last a lifetime.



Bosingak Bell


One place to visit is the Bosingak Bell, located near Jonggak Station (Line 1). Here sixteen people including the Mayor of Seoul will ring the bell thirty-three times between midnight on December 31, 2024 — January 1, 2025. This has become one of the most popular traditions in Korea since the Joseon Dynasty, and as a result hundreds of thousands of Koreans head to this spot to welcome in the New Year!

With Seoul having a mix of traditional and modern traditions, Bosingak Pavilion offers a night of hip-hop and EDM at the final countdown party, and this boasts a glamourous line up including VINI VICI, Crankdat, Martin Jenson, and others!

Lotte World Tower is a sight to behold during New Year's Eve in Seoul! (The Korea Times)

Without a doubt, this is one of the hottest places to visit for New Year's Eve, as the entire tower is displayed in magical fireworks, in order to ring in the New Year! This is also the tallest building in Korea with 123 stories and it is truly a sight to behold. Make no mistake about it, this event will be dazzling!
