Roh Jeong Eui's new drama The Witch premiered with much anticipation as fans waited eagerly since her last drama Hierarchy in 2024. But after this weekend's premiere, fans have been showing disappointment at the show's first two episodes. What happened and why are fans criticizing her performance?

Kang Full's The Witch begins with a very slow entrance introducing its main characters, Lee Dong Jin (GOT7's Jinyoung) and Park Mi Jeong (Roh Jeong Eui). Although the show starts with the present Dong Jin full of confidence and spectacular at his job as a data miner, it quickly becomes emotional and sad as flashbacks from the high school memories of Park Mi Jeong's past and the reason why she is nicknamed "the witch" begin to surface.
How did fans respond?
Fans were quick to express their disappointment at the show's pace as well as Roh Jeong Eui's performance in the first two episodes.
Our Thoughts
Although we do agree that the first two episodes start a little slow, the flashbacks are necessary to explain the reasons why Park Mi Jeong is called "the witch". Her interactions with the different boys in her class (some seem like the same event with just different characters) may give us hints about the future as to this "death phenomenon" that is following her around, as Lee Dong Jin suggests at the beginning of episode 1 and the beginning of episode 2.
With the boys in her class dropping like flies, we can't keep our eyes off the screen! What will happen next? Will her life be in danger? We can't wait to see what happens next!
