[Restaurant of the Month] Laurel Tree — a great value that offers "upper class" value for affordable prices!

Laurel Tree is Dojeon's restaurant of the month for October and for good reason! Serving high quality food that doesn't break the bank with an amazing view, this restaurant is a sure way to bring a date, friends, or even dine alone!

When I was was asked, what restaurant would you go to this autumn? There was no doubt in my mind when I said, "Laurel Tree." (로렐트리 동촌유원지 본점)

Laurel Tree is a restaurant which is located in the Dongchon Resort area of Daegu. A great thing about this restaurant is that it overlooks the river, and has a peaceful atmosphere. The floor to ceiling windows let in all of the natural light, and at the same time offers fantastic photo opportunity of the river, not to mention an impressive view to look at while you enjoy some delicious food!

What surprised me on my first was the restaurant offered an Italian menu. Don't get me wrong I love Italian food but it seemed unusual for the area. The extensive menu features some classic Italian dishes such as a wide variety of pizza options, in addition to this you can opt for steak, a sea food dish, pasta and some sweet treats if you still have room at the end.

The portions are a good size and I found on my visits, the meals to be good value for money. The restaurant, although down to earth, showcases an upper class display from the plating, cutlery and service which is a nice touch to have from time to time in Korea.

The pizzas for me are the obvious choice, and is the first thing I think of when I think of Italian food. There are the classics, such as pepperoni and margarita, though if you are after something more unusual then I would recommend trying the basil pesto shrimp burrata. The flavor was on point and I was left wanting more. I mean there was room for a small desert of course!

This really should be the place to head this autumn for a delicious meal that doesn't break the bank, and a restaurant which offers unspoiled views across the river. What's not to love!?
