The latest episodes of Red Balloon have us wondering "What happened to the comedy in the first part of the series?" We've noticed a sudden change in the mood of this family melodrama as the scenes between Jo Eun Gang's (Seo Ji Hye Adamas 2022) family members have turned to seriousness due to the amount of cheating happening within the family! It seems that all the members of the family have done their fair share of cheating excluding the mother!
In episode 14, secrets are finally spilled and tensions boil over as Ko Geum Ah, Ji Nam Chul's wife, can't hold in her depression any longer and let her floodgate of emotions open. She begs Nam Chul to keep their family together and leave Jo Eun San (Jung Yoo Min Red Shoes 2021). But Eun San isn't easily defeated as she meets Geum Ah and tells her to divorce her husband. She also turns down a US $100,000 payment from Nam Chul to "go away" in order to prove their love is more serious than money! A shocking truth is revealed as a depressed Geum Ah gets in a taxi driven by her first love, Jo Dae Geun, Eun San's uncle! The two revisit old feelings for each other in a Chinese restaurant, which was a pretty funny scene!
We finally get to the juicy part between Eun Gang and Cha Won (Lee Sang Woo Sh**ting Stars 2022) as they are caught red-handed kissing and hugging in the parking lot in front of Cha Won's apartment by his mother-in-law!
Everything starts to fall apart for Han Ba Da (Hong Soo Hyun Police University 2021) as her company is losing money because of fake jewelry being sold on the street and her relationship with both her best friend and husband is falling apart. The clueless wife finally realizes what has been going on behind her back as her mother tells her what she had just witnessed!
