Synopsis
Buried Hearts (the literal title is Treasure Island) tells the tale of an ambitious corporate secretary, Seo Dong Joo (Park Hyung Sik), who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, to become the CEO of Daesan Group where he currently works. He also dates the chairman's granddaughter, Yeo Eun Nam (Hong Hwa Yeon). The two seem truly in love as they promise to marry each other and spend time together, even at work.
Meanwhile, Yeom Jang Sun (Heo Jun Ho Dark Nuns 2025), is a law school professor and former director of the National Intelligence Service. Wielding tremendous power in the political field, some even consider him a "kingmaker".
In a world about money and power, these two men go head-to-head to get what they want, no matter what the cost. At the center of this, a political slush fund of 2 trillion won (USD 1.4 billion) is at stake. What will happen next?
