The Black Label is on the move! Rumors circulating its new upcoming girl group, MEOVV, has been hitting social media! We explain more details about this upcoming highly-anticipated, but mysterious, girl group!
Shortly after The Black Label (company of Taeyang, Rosé, and Jeon Somi) officially announced the launch of its new girl group MEOVV in the second half of 2024, various rumours about the group and its members began circulating on online. On August 16th 2024, SNS accounts with the members under the name MEOVV were created. Let's check out some of these rumours;
Rumor #1: According to rumours, the girl group consists of 5-members, with 4 members being overseas Koreans and 1 member being domestic Korean.
Rumor #2: More than half of the 7 trainees seen in photos of the "debut team" from earlier this year did NOT make the final debut team.
Rumor #3: August 16th, some rumours claimed that the one domestic Korean member of MEOVV was former 'R U Next?' contestant Lee Youngseo.

I mean the trailer really does not give much away, other than focusing on a beautiful building in what I am guessing is somewhere in Seoul, and then a cat jumping onto the screen. This images however creates a sense of being fierce, eager to become famous and ready to work. Will they be able to compete with HYBE'S Babymonster? Or will they simply be just another K-pop group?
