K-pop has gone global, and Manilla is soon to experience its next Waterbomb Festival, where festival goers will get drenched enjoying their favorite K-pop-inspired music while cooling off under the summer heat! We have all the details you need to know for this highly-anticipated upcoming music festival!


Fans of Waterbomb, will have the opportunity to attend the festival in Manila between February 22nd and 23rd at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park, Manila!



What is the Waterbomb Festival?


The Waterbomb Festival first began in 2015 in South Korea and sees both attendees and performers get soaked with water cannons and water guns. The festival primarily features Korean hip-hop, R&B, and EDM artists, along with K-pop idols. It has eventually become one of the most highly awaited events in South Korea every time summer rolls around, and has even expanded to other countries in recent years! Sounds like a great time, right!?

Following the announcement of these big name K-pop stars, fans of the stars and the festival have been quick to take to social media, to express their thoughts, excitement and predictions for the show! Let's check some of them out!



What do I need to bring to the festival?


Packing essentials is a must! Especially in the intense heat. It is suggested that you bring a waterproof bag, as you WILL get wet! Also, you should pack sunscreen to protect your skin and goggles to protect your eyes during the water fights!


The venue has an on-site changing room facility, so if you don't want to wear wet clothes after the show, then you will be able to change! Lockers are also available to store your belongings.


However, please note that outside food, drinks, umbrellas and personal water guns are not allowed, but you can buy them at the venue!

Festivals such as Waterbomb are great for making new connections, meeting like-minded people, and enjoying the wonderful experience with people you might not usually have the chance to meet! Whether you are dancing in the crowd, or taking a break in one of the many chill zones, the festival offers a good chance to make new friends and connections!

  • Ride-Sharing Services: Platforms like Grab operate extensively in Manila, offering a convenient alternative for attendees.


  • Parking Facilities: Seated parking areas will be available for those opting to drive, though spaces may be limited.
