What is the upcoming tour about?
Jisoo from BLACKPINK is set to kick off her Asia fan meeting tour, which will start with a special event in Seoul to celebrate the release of her new mini album Amortage.
The album will be released on February 14, 2025, and Jisoo hopes it will be a Valentine's Day sellout. If fans are after something more romantic, Jisoo will also be holding two sessions of the “Soo in Love” fan meetup at CGV Cheongdam Cine City in Gangnam, Seoul, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Where will the tour take Jisoo?
After her two shows in Seoul, Korea the event will see Jisoo take over Asia during the first half of 2025. It is scheduled to touch down in Manila, Bangkok, Tokyo, Taipei, Hong Kong and Hanoi. This marks Jisoo’s first solo Asia tour since her debut with BLACKPINK in 2016.
Amortage. What is it about and what is the meaning behind it?
The title of her upcoming album Amortage, is a combination of "amor", which is the French word for love, and "montage" which is a term often used in film editing. Jisoo plans to bring a movie-like experience to her upcoming fan meetings and tour.
The new album will also feature four tracks called: "Earthquake", “Your Love", “Tears”, and “Hugs & Kisses", all of which Jisoo participated in creating! Pretty impressive, right?
So what else will 2025 bring for Jisoo?
2025 will see Jisoo continuing to cerement herself in the music industry and as a global icon. Jisoo's influence spanning not only in music, but also into fashion and beyond, has seen the singer proving her critics wrong, and good for her!
She is also set to star in the zombie romance K-drama, Newtopia, which begins streaming on Amazon Prime Video on February 7. As she continues to break new ground, fans around the world eagerly await the next chapter in Jisoo’s extraordinary journey, knowing she’s only just getting started. 2025 is for sure going to be a year to remember!
