Welcome back, Korean learners! Today, we're spicing things up with a real-life restaurant conversation between two people! Ready? Let's start dining!

The Dialogue:



Part 1:


The boy: 안녕하세요, Emma. (annyeonghaseyo Emma. )

Hi, Emma!


Emma: 안녕하세요, Liam. (annyeonghaseyo Liam.)

Hi, Liam!


Boy: 메뉴가 좋아 보이네요. (menyuga joh-a boineyo.)

The menu looks good.


Emma: 예. 저는 여기에서 자주 먹어요. (ye. jeoneun yeogieseo jaju meog-eoyo.)

Yes. I eat here often.


Emm: 주문할 준비됐나요? (jumunhal junbidwaessnayo?)

Are you ready to order?


The Boy: 전 준비됐어요. (jeon junbidwaess-eoyo.)

I'm ready.


Emma: 쌀과 콩이 있는 치킨 타코를 먹겠어요. (ssalgwa kong-i issneun chikin takoleul meoggess-eoyo.)

I'll have the chicken tacos with rice and beans.


Boy: 좋은 것 같아요. (joh-eun geos gat-ayo.)

That sounds good.


Boy: 하지만 저는 채식 타코로 하겠어요. (hajiman jeoneun chaesig takolo hagess-eoyo.)

But I'll have the vegetarian tacos.


Waiter: 마실 것 드릴까요? (masil geos deulilkkayo?)

Would you like anything to drink?


Emma: 아뇨. 물이면 좋아요. (anyo. mul-imyeon joh-ayo.)

No. Water is fine.


Boy: 저도 물이 좋아요. (jeodo mul-i joh-ayo.)

I like water too.



Part 2:



Boy: 음식이 좋아 보여요. (eumsig-i joh-a boyeoyo.)

The food looks good.


Emma: 예. 먹죠. (ye. meogjyo.)

Yes. Let's eat.


Boy: 오, 아녜요. (o, anyeyo.)

Oh no...


Boy: 잊었어요! (ij-eoss-eoyo!)

I forgot!


Boy: 콩은 먹지 말아야겠어요. (kong-eun meogji mal-ayagess-eoyo.)
