Synopsis

Blonde-haired Lee Jung Do (Kim Woo Bin) is an ordinary guy who works at his father's chicken restaurant. He likes to play video games and have drinks with his buddies. The only thing is, Jung Do is a martial arts prodigy achieving the highest ranking in taekwondo, judo, and kendo. He also has a good heart and helps those in need.

One day he sees a martial arts probation officer being attacked by a probationer and rushes to save him. Filling in for the fallen officer, Jung Do takes his place and helps to manage violent offenders who are on probation. Seems outrageous right? Check out the trailer!

Why we're watching

We love to see Kim Woo Bin in a more light-hearted role! Compared to what he is personally going through (being diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer) it is a breath of fresh air and lots of respect for the man. He is back on the screen and performing some intense martial arts sequences! Much respect! We can tell that he is a true professional and a phenomenal actor from the trailer as his more "childish" side comes out. Although this might not be an award-winning performance, it'll definitely take you out of reality, at least for a couple of hours!

Officer Black Belt will be available for streaming on September 13, 2024, only on Netflix. Let us know your thoughts about Kim Woo Bin and this new movie!
