Kang Tae Oh's popularity is currently on the rise! Just discharged from his military duties, the star is back on our screens in a new romantic comedy with Lee Sun Bin! We tackle what he's been up to recently and more about his upcoming project!
As I am sure you are already aware, Kim Yoon Hwan known professionally as Kang Tae Oh is a South Korean actor and singer. He was a member of the actor group 5urprise. He rose to international popularity for his starring role in the television series Extraordinary Attorney Woo (2022).
On August 31, 2022, Kang announced at a fan meeting that he would enlist for his mandatory military service on September 20, 2022. He conducted basic military training at the 37th Infantry Division Jeungpyeong-gun, North Chungcheong Province [10], and then served as an assistant training instructor with the same division. Kang was discharged on March 19, 2024, after serving as an active duty soldier for 18 months, and now he is ready to return to our screens with some interesting new content.
The star has also described his current mood as "Emerald," he expressed his determination, saying, "I will hold the solid light that has been well trimmed over the past year and six months and show it to everyone."

This new K-drama is a rom-com drama set in the backdrop of the rural potato research institute. The drama will show how the lead characters’ lives collide with each other. While Tae Oh will play So Baek Ho, Lee Sun Bin will portray Kim Mi Kyeong. The characters’ backstory already adds a lot of curiosity to the audience’s expectations. I believe that with the stars' dedication, sex appeal, and all-round acting this new drama will be a success. After all most K-dramas have that romantic feel and happy ending that audiences love to see.
