It is no secret that K-pop tries to beat it's own success, through spectacles, fresh energy and new faces each year, but have you ever took a moment to think about the comeback artists which are also highly anticipated by longstanding fans?
Why are comebacks important?
As many fans around the globe check their social media feeds in anticipation for teasers and announcements of their favorite bands or singers, the industry's hottest and biggest acts prepare to unveil their next chapters. Whether this is through story telling, top of the range dance moves, or sheer simple nostalgia, the K-pop comeback is an event like no other, and therefore it is not to be missed!
2025 is no different and it should be a particularly good year for reunions and releases, following in the footsteps of big named acts such as BigBang, 2NE1, among others who have made their much awaited returns in a bid to reclaim the spotlight. From record breaking boy groups to idolized girl groups reuniting is a milestone anniversary for many, bringing good music, memories and magic in a dazzled package.
IVE
IVE, although their schedule had been delayed due to the awful plane crash in Muan, IVE have a highly anticipated comeback this winter. Their milestone is in the shape of their third anniversary, making a moment of celebration of their growth. This release will be their first in close to nine months, and following the success of their second EP, IVE SWITCH, back in April 2024, IVE has promised to showcase a more mature and polished image and sound for their upcoming album. Could this be a new chapter for the group?
BLACKPINK
The original K-pop girl group, and the queens of K-pop BLACKPINK are set to re-claim their reign and they will make their first comeback since their Born Pink tour in 2022, which has been promised to dazzle the globe.
They have been focusing on their solo ventures, however with their unmatched charisma and record breaking global hits, they will reunite in order to put on a spectacle which is said to be one of their best to date. With the girls taking back to the spotlight as a united group, 2025 is set to be a banner year for the K-pop industry.
INFINITE
With the 15-year career under their belt, the kings of K-pop and K-dance are back in the center stage, and marked with their iconic songs such as "Bad and Be Mine", they are also set to drop new music next year. They have completed a limited edition series, and they have for a while now teased their comeback in order to get fans hyped and talking about them on social media. Their return to the stage promises to be razor-sharp and full of glamour.

For this K-pop sensational band, the wait is over! The powerhouse known for hits like "Never Ever and Hard Carry", will soon make their first full group tour. Their new mini-album Winter Heptagon promises to deliver a blend of hip-hop, R&B and some heartfelt lyrics that previously captivate their fans since 2014! This band has a high energy release and their 11th anniversary will for sure be a grand style!
