Updated: Aug 22

In a surprising announcement that has left fans and critics buzzing, BTS’ youngest member, Jungkook, is about to hit the big screen with his first-ever feature film, I Am Still. We tackle when it will premiere and why it has fans so mesmerized!

This highly awaited documentary will give audiences a closer look at the global superstar. The news has created a lot of excitement and speculation among fans.

On August 14, BIGHIT MUSIC, the label behind BTS' success, shared the news with a simple graphic featuring the film’s title and the words “Coming Soon to Cinemas!”

This minimalistic announcement only added to the mystery surrounding the documentary.

Jungkook follows in the footsteps of his bandmates J-Hope and Suga, who each release solo documentaries about their artistic journeys.

However, I Am Still is expected to offer something new and unique, focusing on Jungkook's solo career.

The documentary will be released in cinemas on September 18 and will be shown in 120 countries, including South Korea and Japan.

Fans can buy tickets for these limited screenings on August 21 at 9 A.M. This global release shows just how far Jungkook’s influence extends.

While we don’t have many details about what “I Am Still” will include, the lack of information has only made fans more curious. What will Jungkook reveal in this film? Will it be a look into his creative process, a personal reflection, or something else entirely?

South Korean SBS News has suggested that the documentary may offer a rare glimpse into Jungkook’s life and work. As the release date approaches, fans are eager to find out what Jungkook will share with the world when he steps into the spotlight on September 18.
