With Halloween just around the corner, it is time to get your outfits ready and tickets purchased for the yearly customary event. We've compiled a list of must-do Halloween events happening in Seoul this year!
If you are visiting Korea during Halloween, then you should know that Korea is not the same as back home. You won't find costumed kids trick or treating door to door, or haunted houses or skeleton's wandering the streets. However it is a holiday which is becoming more and more popular every year.
Are you staying in the city?
Itaewon in Seoul was previously one of the most popular places in Korea to celebrate Halloween, prior to the tragic events a few years ago, so it is impossible to know what the future will bring in terms of celebration. One thing is certain though, that effective crowd control will be at the top of everyone's agenda.
Nightclubs, bars, and restaurants will have many events and costume competitions — most likely the weekend before Halloween since it falls on a Thursday this year. You don’t have to plan too much to have a good time. Just wander the winding streets of Itaewon to find a fun Halloween event, or check with your chosen venue to find out what’s planned!
Lotte World
Lotte World Adventure has been transformed into ENHYPEN’s webtoon, Dark Moon. You can see the Magic Castle lit up in ghoulish colors, and visit themed areas from Decelis Academy. This event is fun for all the family!
Everland
If you want to head out of the city, for something a little more spooky, then Everland's "Blood City" is a spectacle not to be missed. Everland is the largest theme park in Korea and Blood City is now in its eighth year. This jump-out-of-your-skin experience, along with bone-chilling events is not to be missed. Themed areas run throughout the park including a horror maze, and sets from All of Us Are Dead and Stranger Things!
