The Rise of HallyUniverse

HallyUniverse (HUV) is brought to you by HallyUP. The flagship event has had eight installments, following its launch in 2013 with HallyUniverse: The Kpop Takeover!

Historically gracing the HUV stage are local talents like Calista, G22, BINI, and SB19 – who eventually became household names in P-Pop.

Since its inception, HallyUniverse has championed both Korean and Filipino culture, bringing fans together to express their mutual appreciation for K-pop and P-pop. The convention offers exciting games and activities, booths and raffles, and even jaw-dropping performances from rising Kpop cover groups.

HUV’s golden hour

It’s primetime! Now on its ninth installment, HallyUniverse takes over the IBG-KAL Theater with a stellar roster to remember!

HallyUniverse’s 9OLDEN trio VXON, AJAA, and Yara are ready to shake things up with out-of-this-world stages. Also performing are Joshua Kim, AETERNUM, FANTAXY, Vanessa Evia, and HallyUP’s set of homegrown artists. To spice up the mix, the premier Korean popular culture organization collaborated with numerous businesses and K-pop fanbases to cater to fans’ food and merchandise fixes.

A heart of gold

HallyUniverse is foremost a fundraising event to support HallyUP’s cause. The organization extends the spotlight to Kopino Children Association Inc. and UP Transport Group, who take center stage as this year’s beneficiaries.

The first beneficiary focuses on promoting and advancing the welfare of Korean-Filipino youth by providing scholarships, transient housing, and assistance in finding and reuniting children with their Korean parents. Meanwhile, UP Transport Group is an organization of UP jeepney drivers that advocates for the rights and welfare of jeepney drivers nationwide.

Show your enthusiasm for Korean popular culture while supporting the Korean-Filipino youth and pressing on with the jeepney drivers amid the Public Utility Vehicle phaseout. Join HallyUniverse 9: 9OLDEN and witness the golden age.

HallyUP is the premier Korean popular culture organization in UP Diliman. Formed in 2011, they continue to organize events that promote K-pop and Korean culture within and outside the university. Stay updated with their latest happenings by following their official social media accounts!
