G-Dragon of BIGBANG is set to release his third solo album, titled Ubermensch, on February 25th, his agency recently announced. We're excited to share with you all the details!
Why is the album named Ubermensch?
Fun fact: The title of the new album actually came from the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, which refers to the ideal individual who transcends conventional values and societal limitations according to Galaxy Corporation.
The title Ubermensch is a lot to swallow, so we hope that the title gains attention in the quest of becoming a household name among K-pop fans.
What is the new album about?
Ubermensch aims to showcase a stronger and more resilient side of G-Dragon by diving into the challenges that he has had to overcome in order to be an artist and global star in what is now an overcrowded music industry.

So why release a new album now?
This is the question that some fans have been asking. Well not only is it the start of the year, and a good chance to get ahead of the game, it also marks 11 years and 5 months since the release of COUP D’ETAT in September 2013, and the album marks a new life goal.
G-Dragon has continued to gain popularity with his new song "POWER" in October 2024 and the new song "HOME SWEET HOME", featuring fellow BigBang members Taeyang and Daesung, which was also released in November 2024.
Of course since the news about the stars new album, fans have taken to social media to express their opinion's, excitement and ideas about what the new album might bring. Let's take a look!
The released video begins with the silhouette of G-Dragon walking face to face through dreamy colorful lights. Soon after, his two silhouettes meet and the sensuous motion changes to the ̈ logo of Ubermensch, which also appeared in the introduction of the music video of POWER, makes it impossible to take your eyes off.
