ZPECTRUM PH is an group consisting of aspiring dancers. A dance cover group from Lucena City, Quezon Province, founded in 2022. The name ZPECTRUM takes its inspiration from the word "Spectrum," which symbolizes the captivating range of colors in a rainbow. Much like a rainbow, our group represents a diverse assembly of young, aspiring dancers. Despite our distinctive backgrounds and dance styles, we unite to exhibit our vibrant and enchanting hues, both collectively and as individual performers.
Our group are consist of teenagers and young adults ranging from the age of 16-25 years old.
Recently, Dojeon Media team member, Henry, got the opportunity to interview this talented dance team!
1. What is your creative process like when choosing a song and choreographing a cover?
As a group, we keep an eye on what's trending in the K-pop scene and consider songs that fans are excited about. Balancing popular requests with our group's strengths is key. After choosing a dance to cover, we now move on to the selection of which member will be part of the dance cover, one of the factor in order to be part of the cover is that a member must go through an inside audition and also portrayal is important, dance and portrayal are major factors in choosing the right member.

2. What are some of the challenges you face as a dance cover group?
As a dance cover group, we face several challenges, but one of the biggest hurdles is coordinating our members’ schedules. Since everyone has their own commitments — whether it’s school, work, or personal responsibilities, finding a common time for rehearsals can be tricky.
3. What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you during a performance?
When we were invited to an event near our municipality. We were told that the event will be filled with college students coming from different courses, we were all so excited to perform in front of many students, but then when we got there, there were only few students, ranging from 20-30 students and the whole gymnasium was quite. But despite the few numbers of audiences, we still gave our best and performed well. We were still honored to be invited as a guest performer.
4. If you could collaborate with any K-Pop group, who would it be and why?
Speaking in behalf of the group, there are so many K-pop groups that we would like to collaborate with. But I think the K-Pop groups that the group would be so excited to collaborate with are ENHYPEN, TWICE, SEVENTEEN, AESPA, and LE SSERAFIM.
5. What advice would you give to other aspiring dancers? (In general K-pop or any genre)
For every aspiring dancers out there, be confident and love whatever is it that you are doing. Build up and ignite that passion, that would help you have more confidence and trust in yourself. Take that first step, even if it’s learning just one routine or attending your first class.
Progress takes time, so be patient with yourself and be consistent in improving yourself. Just be humble and enjoy the process.
