The upcoming Billboard Music Awards will be held on May 16th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am (Korea Standard Time) in Las Vegas. According to the group's agency, Big Hit Music, BTS will not attend the said event despite getting nominated for several categories such as the top duo or group, and top song sales artist.

BTS will skip the 2022 Billboard Music Awards to concentrate on preparation for the release of a new album comeback. With the boy band's big hit single "Butter" they are more likely to receive more awards in the upcoming awards show.
