Aespa dominates charts with "Supernova" and teases the new track "Armageddon". Here is everything you need to know!
On May 13th, 2024, we saw the first double title track of Aespa's album "SUPERNOVA" which topped all of the major domestic music charts in Korea, including TOP100, Melon, Genie, and most major radio stations. What a fantastic experience for the K-girl group, and what a way to make a comeback!
This BOOM back into the K-pop industry led the group to surpass more than 14 million streams on Spotify, which cements Aespa's place in the music industry.
Building on that success, Aespa has confirmed that they are due to shortly release ANOTHER double title track called "Armageddon" which will be released on May 27th, 2024!
Let's check out the teaser below!
This double title track will feature a strong bass sound but still bring a mixture of hip-hop dance and old-school elements that the group has used in some of their other hits. The lyrics for the double title track "I can only define myself" can ring true with most young Koreans, as self-identity can sometimes be lacking, so we think that this message is important and creates a sense of purpose and meaning, which is delivered through strong vocal tones.
Additionally, the "Armageddon" performance will feature addictive point choreography that is both restrained and hip, showcasing Aespa's unique groove and stage presence, which is expected to generate a strong reaction from fans, and create new fans, hopefully on a more international basis.
