Very recently former 2NE1 member Minzy took to her social media with a very excited post saying "I'm truly a lucky girl. I have the coolest sisters in the world by my side. A sudden confession of love," tagging her fellow 2NE1 members CL, Park Bom, and Dara to announce their gathering. Now, as soon as fans saw this social media post, they began coming to conclusions of their own, and it's been highly speculated that the K-pop band 2NE1 may be getting ready for a 2024 comeback. According to YG Entertainment, YG Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk met with 2NE1 on the afternoon of June 27 KST at the new YG headquarters in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul. For me, this rings out that the rumours are perhaps going to be true. Of course, the management of a group will also hold close ties with them, and it could be a friendly or non-official meeting, however, I feel that if this was the case then it would be posted on Social Media. The main reason for posting on social media is to gain attention and popularity, and this post has certainly done that.
YG also later explained that during the approximately two-hour official meeting, they engaged in meaningful conversations!

Since the K-pop band has been MIA (Missing In Action) since 2016, 2024 could be the year to make their comeback, however, I worry that this market is oversaturated and perhaps changed a lot since they were last in the limelight. So I hope that they have taken some much-needed rest and refined their image since they are also 8 years older. Will they fit back into the industry? Will they have a new style? Or will they flop?
